Feige responsible for six drum filling lines

FEIGE FILLING, together with its Westphalian parent company HAVER & BOECKER and the engineering works Möllers, has received from Foster Wheeler the hitherto largest individual contract in its company history reaching back more than forty years.

The project concerns the world-wide largest petrochemical plant to be built during one construction stage. True to the motto "Everything from one source", the HAVER Group was able to convince the company Foster Wheeler and the buyers of the Sadara Chemical Company both during the contract negotiations in London as well as during the numerous conceptual discussions that had taken place beforehand.

SADARA Chemical Company is a joint venture made up of DOW Chemicals and ARAMCO, Saudi Arabian Oil Company. SADARA is synonymous for the world-wide largest petrochemical plant, the completion of which during only one construction stage is scheduled for 2015. United under this partnership, many different chemical products are to be produced and marketed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the first time ever. Within this process chain, FEIGE FILLING GmbH has been able to obtain the contract for the entire liquid intralogistics sector. In addition, HAVER & BOECKER will take over the entire intralogistics sector for solids. All in all, the unique selling points of the individual sectors, the professionalism of the comprehensive cooperation, various synergy effects and market-leading technologies were able to convince.

The project Sadara Chemical Company in Al-Jubail (Saudi Arabia) is extraordinary in many respects. In the future, approx.90,000 litre / hour of liquid basic chemicals, which are toxic and mostly also explosive, such as e.g. Isocyanate, will be filled and made available to logistics as loading units suitable for dispatch or as individual containers. As far as solids are concerned, approx. 400 t / h of polyethylene and polypropylene granulate will be processed. In addition, this project has a very strong global orientation. The networked communication between operating company, engineering company and system supplier is of elementary significance and therefore has a crucial influence on project success. For this reason, the HAVER Group offers only one project team interface to the customer. This considerable reduction of interfaces will positively influence the efficiency of communication.

The many years of successful business connections have not least contributed towards creating a solid basis of trust. Both joint venture partners, Saudi-Aramco and DOW Chemical, in total operate more than 200 pieces of equipment produced by FEIGE and HAVER & BOECKER and therefore not only appreciate their high degree of availability, their ecological sustainability, but also their long service life.

The overall liquid filling volume managed by FEIGE is designed such that an uprating by approx. 120,000 litres per hour can be achieved at little cost. While HAVER & BOECKER is supplying six lines for filling polypropylene and polyethylene granulate, FEIGE is responsible for the supply of six drum filling lines.
