Feige’s Competence Centre – NOW OPEN!

Feige Filling GmbH, specialists in the supply of container, drum and IBC weigh filling machines, depalletisers and palletisers, has opened a new Competence Centre at their facility near Hamburg.

This centre will support the 3,900 machines already delivered around the world by providing a real environment to train on “live” machines and gives the opportunity for new customers to train operators and maintenance personnel.

The centre also features the technology from Sommer GmbH that is also part of the Haver & Boecker Group whose speciality is tanks, agitators, pumps, mixers.

Production, Mixing & Packing Line

The centre was previously used as a manufacturing facility by Feige and to convert it for use as a Centre for Excellence, the latest software service ”Feige Factory Design” was utilised. An initial 3D laser scan is taken of the room from which a scatterplot of all features/equipment/service ducts that are in the room then a CAD generated layout of the room is created to allow the optimum design of the new equipment.

This service is available to customers wanting to see a detailed plan of how a new line would look and operate in their building both from a performance and safety point of view.
