Mespack’s sachet/pouch machines always operate on a horizontal basis where reel fed film (or pre-made pouches) are fed from one end and processed through sealing jaws to create either flat 3 or 4 seal sachets or stand-up pouches. With additional modules can create a shaped pouch; insert a spout/cap into the corner or top seal; insert a zipper; insert a straw etc. On the larger machines there can be up to 5 filling stations so either a multi-component product can be filled using a combination of different fillers or on a quad machine four sachets containing the same product can be produced simultaneously giving an output of 320spm.
The largest stand-up pouch is 420mm x 400mm which can contain up to 10,000cc of product.

The seal quality has to be absolutely secure for pouches weighing 2kg and this is achieved with some important technical features that stand Mespack machines apart from other manufacturers, the same features deliver equally superb results for smaller pouches:
- Independent unwind system
- Automatic adjustment control of seal jaw position
- Automatic hole punch correction system for stand-up pouches
- Servo driven change over system for forming plough
- Servo driven stroke indexing system by rollers
- Internal slot cams (no springs)
- Pouch grippers that are engineering to hold up to 2kg
- Static pouch stretching prior to sealing to avoid wrinkles in the top seal
- PLC controlled automatic lubrication system
Aseptic is not part of Mespack’s range, easy clean and the manufacture of retortable pouches is part of their business.
The latest machine launched by Mespack is claimed to be “fastest HFFS machine ever” known as the HCM 320. The patented continuous motion filling system allows twice as much filling time compared with a conventional HFFS machine. It is capable of producing 140 x 1 litre stand-up pouches per minute (60% more than a conventional HFFS machine).
Also, patented pouch transfer system enables the change over for a new pouch size in less than 5 minutes via a touch screen.
